Bambusa Malingensis - Seabreeze Clumping Bamboo Plant

Seabreeze is a very attractive bamboo that has many unique qualities – it is best known for its tolerance to salt (excellent for seashore locations), wind, drought and cold. It is a tightly clumping bamboo that has unique lateral branches and is an amazingly fast grower. At maturity (approximately 3 years) you will have a living privacy screen. Also excellent for creating a private bamboo oasis, erosion control, screening and many other desirable attractions to simply having it as a standalone ornamental plant – it’s uses are practically endless. You may expect height of 30-40 feet and culm / cane diameter to 2.5 inches. As with all bamboo, you may trim into a hedge with trimming only once per year – a great time saver. It is completely hardy to zone 8 and above and will return from its roots in zone 7. As you may be aware, bamboo have several growth spurts each year and can grow several inches a day and quickly re-establish after a freeze. You will receive a nice one gallon size plant. Its pot will be removed and packaged with watering gel to ensure it remains moist during transit.
