- Cooperate to Win: Work with the player on your left to build one castle while simultaneously working with the player on your right to build a second castle. On each turn you select two tiles from your hand, reveal them, then work with your partners to place one of your selected tiles into each of your two castles.
- Score: Your final score is the lower of the scores of the two castles you helped design, and the player with the highest final score wins the game. To win, you have to share your attention and your devotion equally between two castles.
- High Replayability: With 194 unique room tiles along with a number of different other tiles and bonus cards, you’ll create new and unique castles every time you play.
- For families, solo gamers, and game groups alike: This competitive drafting, tile-placement strategy game for 1-8 players has a 45-60 minute playing time with only a 3 minute setup time, meaning you can jump into a game quickly. Great game for couples, solo gamers, 2 players, family, large groups, and friends, making this a great evening game for after dinner! Includes specially designed Game Trayz organizer inserts to make game set up and storing easier.
- Beautifully Designed and Illustrated: Designed by Matthew O'Malley (First in Flight) and Ben Rosset (The Search for Planet X). Illustrated by Laura Bevon (Hippocrates), Agnieszka Dabrowiecka (Castles of Mad King Ludwig), Bartłomiej Kordowski (Kitchen Rush), and Noah Adelman (Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy).
- Great Teaching Game: This game is an excellent way to teach strategy and planning, while working together. Works wonderfully as a gateway game!
- Includes Expansion: The Essential Edition combines the original game and the Secrets & Soirees expansion into one box. Secrets & Soirees increases the play count to 1-8 players, includes 2 new room types, a new specialty room type, more bonus cards, and a new throne room.
- Thematically Designed Mechanisms: You view your castles from a first person perspective as you build them, and you cannot place additional rooms above outdoor rooms, as they would not be structurally sound.
- Excellent Gift: Great gift for families, teenagers, students, couples, and anyone just getting into the board game hobby.
- Published by Stonemaier: Stonemaier is a tabletop game publisher based in St. Louis and distributed worldwide. Stonemaier's brands include Viticulture, Euphoria, Between Two Cities, Scythe, Charterstone, My Little Scythe, Between Two Castles, Wingspan, Tapestry, Pendulum, Red Rising, Rolling Realms Collection, Libertalia, Smitten, Expeditions, Apiary, Wyrmspan, Stamp Swap, Finspan, Tokaido, Vantage, and Origin Story.
