- Supplying Demand replacement parts are compatible with Major Brands, but you should always verify fitment with your specific model
- Installed in the gas feed line that supplies the log-lighter (a burner used to ignite or sustain the logs) of a fireplace or fire-pit
- The valve allows manual shut-off (and sometimes modulation) of the gas to the log lighter for safety, maintenance, or when the fire feature is not in use
- The chrome cover provides a neat, finished look so the exposed part of the installation doesn’t look like plain piping but a deliberate decorative fixture
- The long key (12″) is used when the valve stem is recessed behind hard‐to‐reach surfaces (block walls, concrete, etc) so an installer or homeowner can turn the valve on/off without removing finishes or breaking the wall
- Because it’s “straight”, the piping from the gas supply to the valve and onward can run inline, useful in many fire-pit designs where space or routing is linear
